The Tesla empire, led by an often-controversial CEO, is gaining momentum in France. What’s more, in the first quarter of 2022, the company still dominated the French electricity market, beating several competitors trying to develop their own solutions.
To establish its base in France, the manufacturer will soon offer its cars for rent from Carrefour. The supermarket chain confirmed this: “Carrefour Location, the leading car rental network with 850 agencies in France, is accelerating its offering with new electric vehicles including the Tesla Model Y and Are you here Model 3. […] Until July 31 and in almost thirty stores, Carrefour Location will offer Tesla to its customers at a very attractive price of €59 on the first day. rental, then the prices will vary depending on the model and the time of the week (from 119 to 149 euros in the following days). »
The brand adds that it wants to make this new offering permanent by 2023, suggesting a desire to bet on electricity: “Tesla’s vehicle offering will initially be available in 80 of the brand’s hypermarkets and supermarkets, and will be expanded by 2023. […] This offer comes with the rollout of Carrefour Energies through its 5,000 electric vehicle charging points available by 2025 to all hypermarkets and markets, with 100% green electricity. »
