Countries most dependent on tourism

Economies around the world have been hit hard by the decline in tourism over the past two-plus years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but some rely more on visitors, the dollars and the jobs they create than others. Thankfully, travel is back to life this summer, which is great news for destinations around the world that rely on tourism the most. A recent study by a team of travel experts at luggage storage app Bounce identified the countries and territories that are most associated with tourism when it comes to its contribution to GDP and employment. Perhaps unsurprisingly, many of these tourist-friendly destinations share a lot in common, including a phenomenal climate and quintessential holiday attractions such as white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.
