Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 Blueprints Delayed After Blizzard Entertainment Takes Over Vicarious Visions, Tony Hawk Says

Activision planned to release an updated collection Pro Skater Tony Hawk 3 as well as Professional figure skater Tony Hawk 4 after release Tony Hawk professional skater 1+2but the plans were shelved after developer Vicarious Visions was taken over by Blizzard Entertainment, Tony Hawk said during a live gameplay stream with streamer Twitch and yTHPS.

Here is the full interaction:

andyTHPS: “If there is [remastered version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater] 3 as well as four or something else, you know how to contact me.

Tony Hawk: Yes, I mean, that was the plan. Even before the release date of this [Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2]we were going 3 as well as four. And then Vicarious somehow got carried away, then they began to look for other developers, and that was it.”

Did Activision just not believe in it?

Hawk: “Actually, they… I mean, the truth is they were trying to find someone who could 3 as well as fourbut they just didn’t trust anyone like Vicarius. So they took other offers from other studios. For example, what would you do with [Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater] title? And they didn’t like everything they heard. And then it was.

“I wish I could get him back somehow. I mean who knows? Maybe when all the dust settles, we’ll figure it all out.”

Tony Hawk professional skater 1+2 Available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
