In an effort to maximize and ensure continuity in the marketing strategies outlined for the promotion of domestic tourism, Puerto Rico Tourism Co. launched its new promotional efforts by launching a new campaign “Voy Turisteando: Isla Aventura”.

The $800,000 campaign aims to show “what to do” in Puerto Rico and aims to encourage local tourists to enjoy the experience one can have while traveling around the island.

“We intend to highlight the wide variety of natural attractions, experiences and tourism offerings that can be found throughout the island, to promote tourism and the economy of the 78 municipalities,” said Carlos Mercado, chief executive of the tourism company, during the campaign. presentations in San Juan.

“We are confident that the launch of this campaign will be a major tool to strengthen and reposition our domestic tourism brand Voy Turisteando and breathe new life into our tourism industry,” he said.

Last year, the central government allocated $120 million from the American Rescue Plan to boost domestic and foreign efforts to promote tourism in Puerto Rico.

The tourism company’s initiative aims to position Puerto Rico as “the best and largest theme park in America” ​​with beaches, forests and rivers. The effort will also give equal attention to the gastronomy of the island and the distinctive characteristics of each region, as well as the cultural richness of Puerto Rico. Adventures such as snorkeling, kayaking, ziplining, hiking, horse racing, water parks and more are also part of the campaign.

$800,000 will be invested in digital and traditional media. An interactive map of the campaign’s attractions will be posted on the agency’s website, VoyTuristeando.com.
