Olivia Munn’s body did not recover from childbirth.
The actress welcomed her son Malcolm, now six months old, last year with partner John Mulaney, and she opened up about her postpartum struggle with her body.
She shared a video of herself and the baby on Instagram and wrote, “My body didn’t break but it made this little guy so I only love him.”
She added: “The postpartum journey is difficult, but worth it.”
This isn’t the first time Olivia, 41, has opened up about the changes pregnancy has made to her body.
Speaking earlier about her struggle with hair loss, she explained in the comments section of her Instagram when one of her fans begged her to give her hair, “Mmm, after giving birth, it falls out in clumps. I’ll give them to you as soon as I can grow them.” and give you the best.”
And in January, Olivia revealed that she was having trouble breastfeeding.
Speaking candidly to her fans, she said, “Breastfeeding is so hard, especially if you don’t have much milk. It’s been 8 weeks and I’ve taken a million vitamins, countless teas, lozenges, tinctures, and worked with two lactation consultants. Breast-feeding. .Tough.(sic)”
She was also honest about her “terrible” anxiety as she also struggled with her new “wobbly” hips after greeting her son.
In an online post, she explained, “My hips are still wobbly from pushing a person out. My postpartum anxiety is still here (and terrible). Today I got up and took my first capoeira lesson. Back to martial arts. made me feel a little more alive, hopefully i can keep up the good work [crossed fingers emoji](sic in the original)”.
