Seattle, Washington Museum of Light released his debut album Horizon through Spartan Records. TThe trio (which includes drummer Rob Smith from Traindodge) skilfully balances the opposing worlds of heavy and ambient music; Equal parts big, crushing, extremely heavy riffs and dreamy, zen-like tides of atmosphere and found sound.

Guitarist/vocalist Ted Alvarez explains: “They don’t seem to fit together, but the more we played, the more we realized that the two could go together and be incredibly attractive to us. For us, both come from places of joy, pleasure, and serenity, not anger or rage. Don’t get us wrong – a lot of great aggressive music comes from these places. But there are already a lot of them. of course, to play, and it is ultimately a positive attitude.”

Smith adds, “We’re big fans of complexity and amazingly dense and intricate music, and I think there are some amazing ways that slip away. But we put this immediacy at the forefront.

Horizon was recorded at Sharkbite Studios and Anti-Sleep Studios in Oakland, California with Scott Evans of Kowloon Walled City (Thrice, Heiress, Thou, Sleep). Limited edition vinyl available at spartanrecords.com.

The Museum of Light is: Ted Alvarez – guitar, vocals Rob Smith – drums as well as Ezekiel Rudik – bass
