Goodbye Zidane, Christophe Galtier to be PSG’s new coach

Soap opera around the identity of the new PSG coach is coming to an end? Although Mauricio Pochettino is currently still in charge of the capital club, there is no doubt that the Argentine will soon leave his place, after a year and a half after his arrival and rather disappointing results. For a long time, we believed that Zinedine Zidane, who has been out of a job since leaving Real Madrid in May 2021, will take over at Rouge and Blue. His agent Alain Migliaccio vehemently denied this, once again sowing doubts at Paris Saint-Germain. Meanwhile, sporting director Leonardo has been sacked and replaced by Luis Campos, who has worked with AS Monaco and LOSC in the past.

The 2022 French Champion would finally set his sights on another fashion coach, Christophe Galtier. According to information from Team, an agreement between the coach of OGK Nice and PSG is about to be reached. The club, led by Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, will pay around €10m in severance pay to Christophe Galtier, with a €15m check sent to Mauricio Pochettino and his four assistants.

Paris Saint-Germain are hoping for the arrival of Christophe Galtier before July 4, the date training will resume at Camp de Loge. However, according to the sports daily, the 55-year-old French coach, the French champion with Lille in 2021, is already preparing his technical staff to perform at their best in the upcoming season. Nothing has been signed at the moment, but Christophe Galtier has never been so close to Paris Saint-Germain.
