Former Baton Rouge resident Mike Mulhern’s non-fiction book, The Repentant Racist, was recently named a finalist in the International Book Awards in the Social Change category.
The volume primarily examines evidence of racism that Mulhern witnessed while living in New Orleans and the capital from the mid-1960s to the early 1990s.
The book also became an international Amazon bestseller in several categories.
