A$AP Rocky admits he “pushed himself to the limit” on his new album.
The hip-hop superstar, who recently welcomed his first child, a son, with Rihanna, dismissed rumors that his 2018 follow-up to ‘Testing’ is titled ‘All Smiles’ before delving into what fans can expect from his ‘more honed.” ” Money.
In an interview with Dazed magazine, he spilled: “One thing I can tell you is that the title will not be ‘All Smiles’ – you know, I have never publicly said that my album is called ‘All Smiles’. It’s more of a concept project, it’s music and more.
“Now I’m finishing a new album; I shot so many visual effects for this. I don’t want to be a cliché or sound like a salesman, but I pushed myself to the limit on everything. Going from that industrial, subversive sound from ‘Testing’ to a more polished sound… I just love where it is.”
In a wide chat, the Everyday rapper also spoke about parenthood as well as his hopes and dreams for his offspring.
The music star said, “I will always remind my children to never lose their imagination, even as adults, no matter what.”
He told the publication that he wants to raise “open-minded kids” and not “people who discriminate.”
The 33-year-old rapper added, “And I’m not trying to describe a saint, but really, I just want a cool kid with cool parents.”
Rocky loves his cartoons very much and would love to sit and watch TV with his child, adding: “I really love watching cartoons – I watched, for example, Teletubbies, Blue’s Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa. Pig” and “Little Shark”.
Earlier this month, Rocky released the single “DMB” along with a music video featuring Rihanna.
